Under the Blue Sun

Sapphire stood at the edge of the towering cliff over looking the majestic green sea of Nantok, the warm wind gently blowing her brilliant and vibrant white hair, her bare feet caressing the soft purple blades of grass while winged creatures danced in the pale yellow sky, as the waves quietly crashed against the rock at the bottom of the cliff. The blue sun that filled the sky gave off a radiant warmth that playfully tickled Sapphires skin. She took a deep breath , savoring the taste of the fresh air, as she reminisced of days past. 30 years ago today, their shuttle had landed on this majestic world they now inhabit. How far they have come since then has been a perilous journey, and now they live comfortably among the creatures that roamed this world. She was a young woman in those days and now she has grown older and wiser. She closed her eyes as the memories played in her mind, a single tear slowly falling from her eye. The world they left behind is what she mourned but with that mourning came relief in knowing that they once again were able to find another planet to call home. She was home. She opened her eyes once again to look upon the beauty of this planet. Under the blue sun they can once again be able to live.
